Rosalía Valencia was born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia. A seaside city with a wonderful palette of colorful people, architecture and charm. Home to one of the best Carnival celebrations in the world, second only to Rio de Janeiro, the people of Barranquilla are a very warm, friendly and caring people and boy do they love to Rumba (Party). They have lots of celebrations and they do not hide their passion and zest for life. A wonderful city for all to see especially during the Carnival celebrations! With the influences of her people and hometown Rosalía developed a love for creativity, art and people. After graduating High School Rosalia attended Cosmetology and Esthetics school where she studied to be an esthetician. During her studies she met Magaly Vergara, a very famous and respected makeup artist in Colombia whom upon her graduation offered her a position at Magaly Vergara Estudio di Maquillaje. Working for one of the best makeup artist in the country was a dream come true for Rosalia. Under the tutelage of Vergara, Rosalía studied and refined her skills necessary to become a valued industry asset. Professionally Rosalía has many accomplishments as a makeup artist working for famous Colombian fashion photographer Samuel Tcherassi and Emilio Yiddi providing makeup services for their models on photo shoots. She has worked with television news anchors on networks Televista and CV Noticias. She has done television commercials work for Cerveza Aguila and has provided makeup services for actresses, Carnival Queens and influential people of Colombia. Some of whom were, actress Lorna Cepeda, actor and model Pedro Palacio. Television news anchors and hosts Maria Patricia Davila and Manuel de la Rosa. Carnival Queen Chechi Donado and many others. Rosalía has done makeup for lots of social events including weddings, quinceaneras, proms and private events.

In 2003, at an event she was attending, she met the love of her life. Excited of her new found love but saddened of what she had to leave behind Rosalía moved with her husband to the United States where she studied English and become the proud mother of two. She also received an Associates of Science degree. Rosalía never lost her passion for makeup. She loves educating herself on new trends and techniques and attends workshops and masterclasses with some of the greatest minds and most successful makeup artist of the industry in the USA.
