Hey 2026 Brides!

This is your year! After months of thoughtful planning, this is the time when you’ll get to celebrate one of the most important days of your life with your best person. You’ll be the center of attention—nervous, but in a good way. While excitement is high, anxiety is also very common, so don’t feel like you’re the only one experiencing butterflies 😊
Remember: it’s your day, and your comfort matters most.

For many of my brides, their appearance is one of the most important parts of their wedding day, so I wanted to dedicate my first blog of the year to my 2026 brides!

Brides have different concerns about makeup, especially those who prefer a natural look. Many worry about looking overdone or cakey, or that their makeup won’t last all day. While previews or trials are important, I also send every bride a detailed questionnaire. This gives you the opportunity to tell me about your skin type (oily, dry, combination, sensitive), any allergies, your makeup preferences, and any concerns you may have.

If you’re a natural bride who doesn’t love wearing a lot of makeup, this is for you. Product layering and technique are crucial—and here’s why: makeup longevity isn’t about how much makeup you apply, but how you apply it. While some brides know exactly what they want, others say they want a natural look but bring inspirational photos that are much heavier.

I usually ask my clients, “What do you like about this makeup?” Most of the time, they’re drawn to just one or two elements. Once we break down the details, they take a moment to think about it and then answer. That conversation always gives me something clear to work with.

Pro tip: Find inspiration photos of someone with similar features to yours.

Last year, I worked with a few brides who were very particular about their brows and didn’t want me to touch them at all. This is where communication becomes especially important. I ask exactly what their concerns are and do my best to work within their comfort level. You are the bride, and my job is to help you look like the best version of yourself—but it’s just as important that you feel comfortable.

Pro tip: Avoid evenly saturating your brows. Add color only where they’re sparse for a softer, more natural look.

Makeup is incredibly unique to each person. I’ve worked with brides who chose very natural looks, others who preferred something in between, and some who loved more color. What I love about working with these different styles is that, as a makeup artist, I understand and value them all. Believe it or not, we often instinctively know what looks best on us, and my brides’ opinions are always taken into consideration.

One thing you’ll never find in my portfolio is a thick eyeliner or overly heavy lashes. Even my most glamorous looks still have an air of natural beauty.

If you’re a 2026 and 2027 bride seeking a makeup experience that feels effortless, elevated, and entirely personalized, I would be honored to be part of your wedding day.
I invite you to reach out and begin creating a look that feels beautifully and authentically you.
