Holiday Glam: Finding the Look that Feels like You

Holiday Glam is officialy here! This time of the year always reminds me of when I used to do makeup in my country, Colombia, during the holiday season. It was one of the busiest seasons for obvious reasons. And while not all women are into red, gold, or metallic sparkle, the holidays definitely bring out that desire to play a little more with makeup.

Some women love a bold red lip and eye-catching details for party gatherings, others prefer soft glam with a fresh glow—and some just want a little shimmer without going full disco ball ✨😉 Whatever your style, holiday makeup is about fun and feeling festive. It can be glitter and bold colors or a polished, understated look that still feels special.

Soft glam is the type of makeup I do the most throughout the year. But sometimes I get to create a classic glam or a smokey eye, and that is so fun because it takes me out of my routine. Holiday glams are so special to me for that reason, because they allow me to step outside my everyday makeup style.

I don’t only carry neutrals in my kit. I keep glitters and all the colors of the rainbow, so if I have a client who would love purple, green, or fuchsia on her eyes —I have it 😊

Soft glam, smokey eye, and classic glam are my three holiday glam makeup looks, with smokey eye and classic glam being the most popular every December 😊

Now you may be wondering… what is the difference between these three styles?

✨ Holiday Soft Glam

Just as the name says, this look is very soft—or how I like to call it, a Victoria’s Secret model makeup style. Think angelic glam: shimmery eyeshadow, luminous skin, and a glossy lip, designed to look effortlessly sexy and polished.

✨ Holiday Smokey Eye

Here, the eyes are the main protagonists. This look features sparkle and deep eyeshadow near the lashes, blending upward from dark to light. Although it can be done with any color, brown, black, or gray are most commonly used. This style makes the eyes appear larger, magnetic, and dramatic—perfect for holiday nights.

✨ Holiday Classic Glam

This style is old-time Hollywood glam. A beautiful base—not matte, but satiny—paired with subtle blush, gold, bronze, or frosty eyeshadow, or a clean winged eyeliner, and of course, a gorgeous red lip.
For a step-by-step guide, you can find great tips in my How to Apply Red Lipstick blog.

These are my most requested holiday looks! December is the perfect time to try one of these styles—or any look that captures the spirit of the season. Most importantly, choose a look that makes you feel confident and beautiful. Add a little more sparkle, be bold, and have fun ✨

Just like my bridal clients, holiday clients still want long-wear, beautiful makeup—makeup that looks amazing at the first toast and still looks flawless by the last dance 💃

✨ If you’re planning something festive this season and would like professional makeup, I would be happy to connect here  😊

Wishing you a season filled with confidence, sparkle, and joy.

Happy Holidays ! 🎄💄
